Launching a business in Thailand

Hello internet!
Sawatdee Krap P’Internet (I’m younger),

Welcome to the beginning. My first post, my first vlog live (very soon) on YouTube, and my first step into launching a business in Thailand. I’m heading over with $40,000 (approx 1m THB) to get started, so let’s see how it goes!

I am in the process of registering a company on the Australian side as we speak. And during a recession and some crazy inflation and global events too; am I brave or crazy? Only time will tell. In two weeks from now, I will be living in Bangkok for real. On the ground trying to make my dreams come true.

My early content will focus on the what and why of this journey. The how will come later. In between this series about my business, I’ll be showcasing more of Thailand. The destinations, culture, people, diverse regions, music, food, and show you why I love it here.

The Gorgeous Locations

The view from my hotel in Chiang Rai, Mae Suai area. The Serenity to cite an Australian classic, The Castle. The North is a place I like to visit a lot. Some of the friendliest people on earth and such a relaxing environment.

The Friendly Locals

The people and chill “mai pen rai” culture is what I love most about Thailand. This was New Years and getting trapped on a random street, partying with locals in Chiang Mai was a real highlight.

The Great Cuisine

As a lover of spicy food, Thailand takes it to another level. I once had a papaya salad so spicy I could travel through time. But boy, is the food delicious!

The Nightlife

There’s so many great venues that have live music, drinks, and food open late every night. Whatever genre is your thing, Thailand has you covered. And the local music is amazing too!

Wish me luck! It’s no small task what I’m doing, but I’m hoping to show that it’s no scary and that, if it does happen, failure isn’t the worst thing in the world. That’s not having a go.

Let me know in the comments what you’d like to see in this series. I’d like my channel to be like an asynchronous conversation between pals.
